Since the early days of Facebook and long before I started my own travel and lifestyle blog, every time I uploaded photos, I accompanied them with rich descriptions, telling historical, geographical, and other peculiar facts about the places I set my foot upon.
From the time when I initiated my own blog (the one you are reading now if you have not noticed), every single travel article has been spiced up with recommendations, hints, and insider tips (some touristy, others – off the beaten path) for the designated place.
I am sure most of you have wished to follow my footsteps through all those amazing destinations. Well, wish no more – it is possible by downloading (a) GPS-guided Travel Article(s) through GPSMyCity’s link.
GPSMyCity Article Apps
These blog article apps are a new term in travel apps, and are available for iOS and Android devices. With over 470+ world cities and more than 5,000 different walking tours, you can lose yourself without getting lost. I pride myself with having some of my own available for download through the app store – for free or for a small fee (when upgraded to guide you around).
These GPS-Guided articles are articles that have embedded GPS coordinates, including a map of the route of the author of the blog post. These more than 5,000 guided articles range from lists (“22 of the Best Parks and Gardens to Relax in Paris”) through thematic (“Quintessential Quito”) to general (“Some Highlights of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in Vietnam”).
Giveaway of Upgraded Apps
Once a user has downloaded the desired article, no internet access is required to use the article to guide you around. Upgrading it for a small fee (usually between $1.00 and $2.00) turns it into a GPS-guided article, which offers an offline map to show you around the city, showcasing the points of interest.
Accessing these articles can be done in two ways:
- Click on the link at the end of an article that has been converted into an app (in the case that you have not yet downloaded and installed the GPSMyCity application, you will be required to do so). As soon as that is done, you will be directed to the desired post that you wish to upgrade and turn it into a GPS-guided article; or
- Through the GPSMyCity application, you can browse articles by city to find out their availability. Any article can be downloaded free of charge and then it can be further upgraded to a guided walking tour for a small amount.
One of my articles – Abu Dhabi – the Invigorating Oasis – will be offered for a free upgrade from Monday, July 25th through Sunday, July 31st, so you can check out how the application functions.
Get your upgraded app for free by clicking on the link and following the instructions to download the GPSMyCity app. Please, make sure to download the GPSmyCity app, first of all, when clicking the article link. After the GPSmyCity has been launched, the article application will appear by default; then you should click on “Upgrade” in order to upgrade the article.
If you upgrade my article, I will also get a few cents which will be very helpful to keep with the blog and offset some expenses. May I thank you in advance.
